I. Product Overview:
The KEDLY-A Cable Fault Tester, developed and manufactured by our company, breaks the monopoly of foreign companies in this field. The cable fault tester (pre-location host) adopts advanced technology, presenting all high-resistance fault waveforms as simple low-voltage pulse waveforms, making fault distance judgment effortless and straightforward.
The KEDLY-A Cable Fault Tester is used to test high-resistance leakage faults, flashover faults, low-resistance grounding, and open-circuit faults in various power cables.

1. Capable of testing high and low-resistance faults in all cables up to 35KV and below, with wide adaptability;

9. Enables side-by-side and overlay comparison of the measured fault point waveform with the full-length open-circuit waveform of a good phase on the same screen, with automatic fault distance judgment;
10. Built-in power: The pre-location test host (with built-in lithium battery) can operate continuously for over 3 hours after a full charge and can also work with an external AC power source;
11. Operating conditions: Temperature -10℃ to +45℃, relative humidity 90%.
IV. System Composition and Working Principle:

The cable fault rapid tester mainly consists of a high-voltage impact unit and a waveform recording analyzer (test host).
1. High-Voltage Pulse Generator   
The high-voltage pulse generator is the energy supply part of the cable fault pre-location system, providing high-voltage, high-energy voltage pulses. It is mainly composed of a step-up transformer, high-voltage rectifier diodes, charging capacitors, and discharge gaps.
2. Waveform Recording Analyzer (Ranging Host)
This part serves as the brain of the entire instrument, responsible for sending commands to other components, coordinating their work, and providing a human-machine interface for the operator. Its main functions include high-speed sampling and recording of measurement pulses, followed by high-speed computational analysis of the collected signals.
